Brett Lawrie loses it on two bad called strikes and (inadvertently?) hits the ump with his helmet after throwing it in disgust. Then, umpire Bill Miller got a beer tossed at him after the game.
Yeah, Miller made a couple bad calls, Lawrie got screwed. Tempers flared - the worst part about it though, was the helmet hitting the umpire, which I don’t think was on purpose. If he wanted to hit him, he would have thrown it directly at him.
Let’s see what his suspension is…
Jared Weaver gets his first no hitter as Angels beat Twins 9-0
What made this extra special is that Weaver, at the beginning of the season, decided to staty and play in Anaheim for less money - so he threw it in front of his true home-crowd and Mom, Dad, and wife were all there to see it, too.
If that’s not a dream come true, I don’t know what is.
This is the second no-hitter of the season (after Humber’s perfect game last month).
